Solar Eclipse Watch Party at Delores Fenwick Nature Center

Totality over Texas! On April 8th, 2024, Texas will be in the path of the total solar eclipse as it passes over North America. This will be the last opportunity to see a total solar eclipse in Texas until 2045, so you won’t want to miss this one!
Come celebrate this out-of-world experience with the DFNC and @pearlandparks at our free community viewing event at Independence Park! We’ll have activities, music, and food trucks for you to enjoy as you take in this amazing natural phenomenon.
Remember: don’t look directly at the sun during the eclipse! We will have eclipse viewing glasses available at the event (while supplies last) and will be sharing instruction on our social media pages on how to build your own eclipse viewers
