Spring has sprung and there’s no better way to celebrate than to get your kids in to swim lessons! This will give them plenty time to prepare for summer by learning or refreshing their swim safety skills ahead of time. They’ll not only learn life-saving safety techniques, but also get reacquainted with the water.
Let’s face it, drowning is not an easy subject to talk about, but in reality 87 children drowned in Texas last year. That is 87 too many! So far, in 2021, there have been 5 drownings and it’s incredibly heartbreaking. Drowning doesn’t discriminate and can happen to any of us. Let’s do what we can to reduce these numbers and learn to swim.
Thankfully, we have a wonderful school in our area, Houston Swim Club, that has such a loving, caring and fun environment. They are family owned and have a strong desire to keep children safe and reduce the risk of drowning. They have locations in our area (Pearland, Friendswood/Webster and Sugarland) and are currently accepting new students! Check them out here and mention SOUTH HOUSTON MOMS to get $25 off registration.
Houston Swim Club is also offering a clean and healthy environment to keep their students and families safe. You can find those details here.
