Amanda Kleckley is an amazing Mom and super fun to hang out with. She has her hand in almost everything and you will most likely run into her at Shirley Dill Brothers Elementary volunteering at one of her three children’s classes or around town spreading the word about safe, clean beauty products by Beauty Counter.

How long have you lived in Pearland? What made you decide to live here?
We moved to Pearland in 2008. We chose the location for the ease of getting to other parts of Houston, and have chosen to stay because of the wonderful community.
What’s your favorite family activity in Pearland?
Eating! Ha. Seriously, we love to try out new restaurants that have come to Pearland. Our current favorite is TMX. We also enjoy going to the Westside Library and riding bikes around our neighborhood.
Where’s your favorite place to eat and/or shop?
We are huge fans of PJ’s Coffee. The kids love getting a frozen hot chocolate, and my husband and I are big fans of the Cold Brew.
What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
As a teenager, I earned the Girl Scout Gold Award (equivalent to the Boy Scout Eagle Scout Award). It taught me a lot of great skills, but I still don’t like camping. 🙂
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
It takes a village! My husband has been my biggest cheerleader, and my mom has been the best example for me throughout my parenting journey. I also couldn’t have survived the past 9.5 years of parenthood without my friends! We keep each other sane, and it helps to know you’re not alone.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
We have been blessed with a supportive school community and neighborhood. Although Pearland is no longer a “small” town, it still has the small town feel (other than traffic on 518)! I love how often the worlds of friends and acquaintances collide.
