How long have you lived in Pearland and what made you decide to live here?

We’ve been in Pearland for 5 Years. I love the blend of city and small town. Also, how close it is to Houston without being in Houston.

How has the Pearland community been instrumental in getting you where you are now?

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing so many families. Its nice meeting my neighbors and having their support.  My business has grown solely on word of mouth which is awesome. I am so grateful for anyone that has worked with me and loved their photos enough to tell their peeps about it.

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

I am a Huge Walking Dead fan! like HUGE!  I usually edit and watch the Walking Dead every Monday!
What do you do for self care and where do you go locally for pampering?

I love a good book or audible book, hot bubble bath or cleansing my skin with my steamer. My go to when I need to unwind. I’m a simple girl so I don’t pamper myself as much as I’d like too. But, I love going to ULTA to find amazing new skin care or beauty items.
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?

I do not have any family here, so the friends I’ve made here have become my family. They help me whenever I need it – everything from food, to recipes to babysitting to retrieving lost shoes while I’m at work. Joslyn Collins, Carla Williams and Star Lozado!  They are my mommy tribe, and of course it’s growing.

Tell us more about your business and what inspired you?

I am a Family Photographer. My style is very bold, colorful  and simple. Emphasis on SIMPLE,  no fluff or props.  I want to encourage families to  just come as they are, and just let go of the ideas of the perfect family photo. Just come and be connected. Because no family is perfect. I know mine isn’t.

I welcome the real and the chaos. I am most inspired by my own family, and my own longing to exist in photos with my kids holding on to what’s going on right now.  Simply put, I shoot images that I would love to have of my own family.

I want to encourage families to just come as they are, and let go of the idea of the perfect family photo.”

We want to know more about your Client Closet and how you assist moms with styling the family! What can you share with us?

To help with styling their session, one of the 4 things I offer for my clients is my Client Closet. It is constantly growing as I add a minimum of 5 pieces a month. It is full of my favorite brands like; Joyfolie, Esty, Baltic Born, Free People and Vici. It includes stuff for the entire family, including bows, cardigans, hats, headbands, and swaddles for the babies. I have a variety of  colors (that  work best for my editing style), textures  and fabrics that photograph well. I have clients that use one thing from the closet and some that use several.

If you are wondering how you use it, you choose a few options and I bring a tent for you to try them on before the session. If that makes you nervous, I always recommend bringing something as a back up plan.

How do you assist moms with styling the family?
Styling is literally the hardest thing about family sessions and can honestly make or break the end result. Let’s face it, we don’t all have time to do pictures on a regular basis or at all. A lot of moms look back and wish they had done it more. So if you are gonna make the investment and take the time to get this done, why not be fully prepared and have images that you absolutely love. My clients have access to the client closet, a style guide and style and select. In addition to that, I can send out mood boards and inspiration. My goal is to help showcase your family individually, without going overboard and just choosing colors from a color wheel.
If you’re investing in a session with me, I want it to be AMAZING and timeless! I can and will be as hands on as you need me to be and I try to make it as easy as possible. Please don’t kill me jean loving mamas, I mostly carry dresses and skirts in my client closet. That is because I want my mamas to feel the most beautiful. But if that is not your style, I can help find something that works.

In reality, if you feel good, everything else will fall into place. The magic sauce that no one tells moms is that they should choose their clothing first to ensure they feel good and look good. Choosing the kids clothing first, and then trying to find something for you, is stressful and craziness if you think about it. Kids are the easiest!!
