Where’s your favorite place to eat and/or shop in your Pearland?
I live in Southfork so I love the Town Center. My favorite place to eat is Jimmy Changas. I love the outdoor seating and the playground. Hoping COVID is gone soon to enjoy the playground again, and the ice cream!!!!!!

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

My Mother is 1 of 10 children. I hang out with my cousins/family all the time!! I love big families and that is one reason I love having 3 children.

Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
I love being a part of the Pearland mom group. It is so fun to meet other women in the area and hang out!!! I would love to THANK my mother Jacquie Aylmer for helping me with the kids when Chris and I work!

How has the Pearland community been instrumental in getting you where you are now?
I worked at FCER Pearland Silverlake and FCER Pearland East Free Standing ER. Working at these locations helped me to get a Nurse Manager position. Currently I am working at another free standing ER in Clear Lake- Physicians Premier ER.

I love going to the new nail salon on Kirby- Cinderella nails!!

Please tell us about how Covid has affected you and your work?

We had a patient average of about 12 a day, now we are seeing 80 a day!! At my ER we currently have the COVID – 19 Antigen test by nasal swab. We have the COVID -19 Antibody test by drawing blood. The Covid -19 PCR test by Nasopharyngeal swab, it can take 2-3 days for this result. The other 2 tests can be done in about 20 minutes in our ER lab.

What have you observed about the disease?
Most of my patients are doing well with COVID 19. Since March 1st I have only had to admit 5 people to the hospital for in patient care.

What do you stress about what the public can do to help the spread of Covid?
Wear a mask and wash your hands!!
