I like to exercise at the running trails at Tom Bass Park

How long have you been swimming?
I swam recreationally starting very young and eventually joined a swim team in middle school. I played other sports in high school, and focused on my studies in college, but I eventually came back to swimming as an adult to be a coach.
What made you want to be a swim coach?
I had friends who worked at HSC and they would tell me so many stories about what a great time they had at work, so I decided to look into a job there. I’ve been there for 7 years!
What age/levels do you teach?
All ages and levels! I teach infants as young as 4 months of age in our Starfish (parent/child) classes and also teach adults who are just beginning their swimming journey. There’s a wide range of ages and levels in between!
What’s your favorite thing about teaching swimming?
I like seeing the expressions of my students when they start to feel confident in their abilities to swim.
